This training will help volunteers understand the importance of maintaining healthy boundaries in relationships with children at school. Paula Dirkes, a longtime mentor, engaging speaker, and author from Michigan, will present a fun and interactive training that explores the 10 different types of boundary issues that may surface with your match. Recognizing boundaries is critical to show respect in your mentoring relationship. Mentors will learn how to recognize, understand and manage boundaries and foster a healthy mentoring match. Please come and have some fun! (Paula will cover such topics as roles and responsibilities, confidentiality, communication, physical space, safety in location, appropriate topics for discussion, and more.)

GCSD faculty, staff, and volunteers welcome. Call 260-9646 for info.
