While mentoring, you will inevitably encounter mentors and students with different cultural & ethnic backgrounds. If you are unprepared, unconscious bias may affect your attitudes and actions while interacting with them.
In this workshop, Moab Valley Multicultural Center staff will teach communication skills, explain some of the cultural and family norms we’re most likely to encounter here in Moab, and help us understand and identify unconscious bias. Please join us! (Open to teachers and others who work with youth.)
