Program Director

A graduate of the University of Vermont, Dan taught Seventh Grade Special Education at Grand County Middle School before moving to the position of Program Director.  As Program Director, Dan is responsible for grant implementation, program development and oversight, and community mentoring integration. While formally trained in Comparative Religion and English Literature/Creative Writing, Dan is professionally interested in closing the academic achievement gap, specifically between economic classes in the US. Dan views mentoring as a natural support system that pushes students to become confident, curious, and responsible citizens. His personal interests include rock climbing, mountain biking, writing poetry and fiction, and traveling.
